On April 20th, 2014, the Scottsdale HOGS Chapter put on a HOGS with Hearts charity ride in order to raise money to send kids with muscular dystrophy to MDA summer camp. Our attorney, Craig Rosenstein donated to the cause in hopes to raise enough money to give perhaps a few children the opportunity to have fun and just be a kid at summer camp for a week.
MDA is the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, and other neuromuscular diseases. The MDA puts on numerous events, but in addition, Harley Davidson puts together the HOGS with Hearts event to help raise money for this amazing cause.
Because of the amazing support received from the sponsors and riders this year, a total amount of $12,025 was raised for MDA summer camp! The average cost to send ONE kid to summer camp is $800, which means this year 15 kids will get to forget about their hard times and struggles, and simply get to have fun.
Being a DUI defense lawyer, attorney Craig Rosenstein has had clients in Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal county, and has seen the effects that a DUI can have on not just the client but on their spouse and kids. This is why giving to charities such as HOGS with Hearts and the MDA is so important to Craig. He understands that kids need time to just be kids, even if just for a couple days, to get them through any hardtimes that lie ahead.
