Free public parking is available on West Cherry Avenue and North Beaver Street in downtown Flagstaff. Parking is limited to two hours. There is also a small employee parking lot within the courthouse block.

  • If you are coming from the I-40 freeway, I-17 turns into Milton Road.
  • Continue heading north on Milton Road as Milton bends east/right it turns into Route 66.
  • Continue on Route 66 east until you reach San Francisco Street.
  • Turn left/north onto San Francisco Street, and the courthouse will be on your right in downtown Flagstaff.

The Flagstaff Justice Court Precinct of Coconino County includes downtown Flagstaff, a significant portion of Interstate 40, and some of the Historic Route 66 in Northern Arizona. The precinct encompasses:

  • The entire city of Flagstaff
  • Areas outside the Flagstaff city limits within Coconino County
  • The Northern Arizona University campus

About the Justice of the Peace Howard Grodman

Justice of the Peace Howard Grodman is the elected Justice of the Peace for the Flagstaff Justice Court. He took office in January 2011. Justice of the Peace Grodman handles various cases, including civil lawsuits, small claims, landlord-tenant disputes, and misdemeanors. He also oversees the preliminary stages of felony cases.

Before becoming a Justice of the Peace, Grodman practiced law for 27 years in Michigan and Arizona. He gained valuable experience as a juvenile Justice of the Peace pro tem in Coconino County and a Phoenix Municipal Court Justice of the Peace pro tem. Grodman also taught business law and ethics at Northern Arizona University’s Franke College of Business.
